Our venue, Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts, is located on Toronto’s Centre Island. Getting there is easy!
Our venue is located on the northern shore of Centre Island, a 20~25 minute walk from the ferry drop off. We’ll also be providing a shuttle bus from the ferry drop off point on the island as an alternative to walking.
The City of Toronto operates three different ferries to the Toronto Islands, including one to Centre Island. Private water taxi companies (e.g. Tiki Taxi, Toronto Harbour Water Taxi) also offer access to Centre Island. We recommend the ferry, as water taxi tickets are one-way, whereas ferry tickets include a return trip. Discounted ferry rates are also available for older adults (65+) and groups of 10 and over. Ferry tickets can be purchased in advance online and are valid for any departure until the end of the calendar year.
Jack Layton Ferry Terminal is located downtown on Toronto’s waterfront. The 509 and 510 streetcar lines both stop at the Queens Quay station, just across the street from the ferry terminal.
Our ceremony begins at 4 pm. We recommend taking the 3 pm ferry, arriving at the ferry terminal by 2:30 pm to ensure you get a spot on board during the busy season. (If you miss the ferry, there are several nearby water taxis, with the closest being Toronto Harbour Water Taxi.) Once you’ve arrived at the dock on Centre Island, it’s a scenic walk to the venue, or, a shuttle bus will be waiting to transport anyone who would like a ride!
