Getting there

From the airport

The UP Express train takes you from Pearson Airport to Union Station, with additional stops along the way. You can tap to pay with a credit card** ($12.35) or PRESTO card ($9.25). If exiting before Union Station, make sure to tap off, as the rates are not fixed and will be a bit cheaper than the terminus station (Union).

Alternatively, the 900 bus ($3.35) picks up passengers at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and drops you off at Kipling subway station. From there, you can use a free transfer** to take the subway Line 2 eastbound, with transfers to Line 1 at Spadina, St George, and Bloor-Yonge stations.

Ubers/Lyfts from Pearson Airport to downtown are ~$50+. If you’re at Terminal 1, the passenger pickup zone is downstairs on the ground level outside of Door Q. Look for the blue curb. If you’re at Terminal 3, passenger pickup is at the Arrivals Level outside of Door D on the outer curb. Follow the signs to cross the street and wait at the blue curb at Zone 3.

Getting around

Toronto’s public transit services offer free 2-hour transfers, which can be used interchangeably between TTC buses, streetcars, and subway lines, and Metrolinx LRT trains. You can tap to pay with a credit card** or PRESTO card.

PRESTO cards have discounted fare rates and can be stored digitally in your mobile wallet, or purchased physically for $4 from PRESTO vending machines or participating retailers (including most Shopper’s Drug Marts).

Toronto drivers are nuts! Please use caution when taking the streetcar ♡

**If using a credit card, ensure to use the same card when transferring to do so for free.
